How to see your competitors’ Facebook and Instagram ads

Today I’m going to get a bit tactical; a quick tip to take with you over the weekend.

I’m going to tell you how to look at any of your competitors’ Facebook and Instagram ads.

If you have been a subscriber for any length of time, you know I like to focus on strategy because it’s the lever that makes everything else successful.

But having listened to the members of Everspaces Nation, I am reminded that quick tactical wins can be a big help too.

For those who don’t know, Facebook added a feature a while back to let you see any company’s ads without using any fancy tools or software.

And you can use that to give you ideas, inspiration, and competitive intelligence.

How to see your competitions’s ads

  • Step 1: Log into Facebook.
  • Step 2: Visit the Page of any coworking space.
  • Step 3: Click “Info and Ads” on the left-hand menu.
  • Step 4: You can select which country you want to look at if you are given that option.
  • Step 5: You can now see all the ads they are running.

To jump right to some examples, here are the ads for WeWork (UK), Regus (US), and Spaces (Global).

Note: I think these links only work on desktop (not mobile).

I was recently helping a client set up their ad campaigns and I realized that a striking number of coworking spaces don’t advertise on Facebook and Instagram. It was actually hard to find good examples of ads.

There are smart ways to run Facebook and Instagram ads and there are expensive ways to run them. You don’t want to be in the latter camp. Perhaps that’s why so many spaces don’t use this method to reach prospects.

There are also good situations to use them and times where you might be better off spending your money elsewhere.

It’s not always easy to know what you should do, so next month in The Mastermind, I’ll be covering some key tactics and strategies of effective Facebook and Instagram ads in the first of many monthly webinars.

I won’t cover how to set up an account from scratch–that information is everywhere–but I will give you the information you need to manage the process intelligently (without blowing your budget).

If this topic interests you, be sure to sign up for Everspaces Nation next month. But if I were you, I’d wait to join until next week after an announcement.

Otherwise, you can expect to receive another free tip like this next week!
