Why you should have a ‘Why Us’ page on your coworking space website

Last week, I gave a presentation in New York for the Global Workspace Association called, The Anatomy of a Perfect Coworking Space Website.

If you’re a Everspaces Nation member, you’ll have seen a version of the presentation already in last week’s webinar.

If you’re not, I highly recommend you join before the recording disappears and it becomes a paid product. 🙂

Anyway – one of the 10 elements of a perfect coworking space website that I covered was having a “Why Us” page.

The Why Us page should have three main reasons (usually not more or less) why people should choose your space.

I call them the three pillars–they hold up the value of your company, after all.

Why you should have a Why Us page

There are a few main benefits of having this page on your website.

  1. It makes your best features more distinct to your prospects.
  2. People will start describing you to others using the same language, which is great for referrals.
  3. It distinguishes you from the competition. People buy based on differences, after all.
  4. It forces you to actually think about what makes you valuable and use it in all of your messaging.

Most businesses never take the time to get clear on the three most significant reasons members should choose them. Or if they do, they don’t publish it, so prospects don’t always know what makes you special.

And that means your marketing will be vague, inconsistent, or probably less effective than it could be.

Need an example?

Visit The Wing’s website – they have a Why Us page with three core pillars: Community, Workspace, and Programming.

Click through the tabs in the green secondary navigation to explore their page content.

Yours will be different, but think about what three pillars hold up your business. Write them down.
